Dr. Prasant Sarangi, Director (Research) is presently heading the Directorate of Printing Cell of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Managing Director (Designate) of ICSI Institute of Insolvency Professionals.
He has previously headed various ICSI directorates such as Perspective & Futuristic Planning and Research. He has also served as the Chief Operating Officer (Designate) of ICSI Register Valuer Organization (RVO).
Dr. Sarangi is a M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D degree in Economics from Berhampur University. He is also an MBA degree recipient from BPUT, Rourkela.
He is gold medalist for securing First Position in B.A. (Eco-Hons) and has also secured the first position in order of merit while completing his Masters. He has received National Scholarship from Ministry of Human Resource Development, Gol and has also been awarded as ‘Best Graduate’ along with a number of memorial awards by various Universities and other academic organizations from time-to-time.
Dr. Sarangi has the credit of authoring books titled ‘Research Methodology’, ‘Consumption, Poverty and Inequality’, and he was also one of the editors of the book titled ‘Innovations in Management Science ’. The book ‘Research Methodology’ published by Taxmann Publications is one of the most popular and widely circulated books in its genre.
He has also been associated with a number of reputed professional bodies in India from time-to-time. He has served as a faculty in senior grades for several years and shouldered responsibilities as a team member of top management in various academic institutions as well.
